Chalice with no eyes

As I'm new to the hobby, is this normal? I honestly don't know what I'm looking at in many regards. This chalice was sold as a Pink Pucker Chalice. I got it home. It doesn't appear to be dying or anything. It's doing fine. But I'm reading that this might not be normal.

Thoughts?

I have had some chalices that did not appear to have eyes. Until you feed them.

Some people sell frags of more high end chalice that have no eyes but this is pretty big to not have an eye. Alost looks like a monti to me though...

This looks like a chalice to me, but the pic is a bit saturated to tell for sure. There are definitely chalices though that the eyes aren't a different color than the base. If you really want to find out for sure try turning off all of your pumps and powerheads then gently squirting mysis on top of the chalice until it is mostly covered. The areas that pull the food in will be the eyes. This can take up to an hour though for some chalices, especially of they aren't used to receiving food or the eyes (technically mouths) are very small. Just be patient and don't worry about the pumps being off that long, I have done it plenty of time, the only possible worry will be temperature fluctuation from water not moving across the heater.

Haha Spongie. Thanks for the reminder. I've spot fed it and it doesn't do anything. There don't appear to be any eyes. I will set up video tonight and do it again to see if there is something I missed.

Well ... I did it last night and watched it - I **** you not - for 2 hours ... It has at least 4 eyes that are super small.

Many chalices have what you would think are small eyes. But when they are eating and throw out all the feeders. The eyes can more than double in size. Almost looks like they are turning themselves inside out.
