So i can keep from Sps Oras,To 150 dollars softies, to 100 a head colony of acans but i cant keep CHALICES!! dangit i bought a miami hrricane and it shows receeding tissue for the firsts day why ? what affects chalices the most help please.

I heard that stray voltage afffects chalices alot any thoughts?

where did you place it in your tank?? They seem to like lower light levels with medium flow. Stray voltage is not good for anything, including you!! If you have stray current, find the culprit & omit it ASAP! The use of a ground probe is also a good idea IMHO..

I agree on the magnesium and alkalinity levels. The MH I have is about 20 inches under a 250 watt AquaConnect halide so it can handle a fair amount of light. Is this a recently purchased frag? This is a very fragile chalice when it is first fragged but once it is established grows very rapidly and seems to be very hardy. Mine went from a two eye frag to an almost 4" colony in a little over a year.
