What causes corals to turn green recently had some chalices turn green but still alive. Got my water checked by lfs they said nitrates where high, did a water change asap. May it be lighting? As well had some BJ which I lost all my Euphyllia the bumped into some algae problems which I cut down on lighting extremely. Left the country for about a week and forgot to switch the lighting back, may the lighting be the cause of this? Not enough light possibly? Any advice would be great thank you in advance

Generally if acroporas turn green its lack of proper lighting. Old t5 bulbs. Or not enough par in general.

Not sure if chalices do this as i dont keep chalices.. but i assume its the same reason

Can you get some pictures? Those are usually helpful. Lighting can cause corals to color shift some, are you referring to the flesh or the skeleton? Green skeleton would be caused by algae most likely.
