Im really close to getting a few 10+ eyed chalice colonies and really close to getting an led pendant for the frag tank

My question is, do chalices bleach or anything under leds?,,tanks only 13in. tall,, also, how much led power can chalices, acans, etc. live healthly under?

Is there anyway in particular i should aclimate corals to the led lighting? The corals will be mainly sps and lps, maybe a few zoas and palys if they like leds

All of my tanks are t5 powered right now

I think it depends on the fixture myself... No 2 LEDs are the same even if you had Cree there is different bins and with different bins comes different output electricity use etc... These premade fixtures everyone is getting seem to be really nice and some are stronger than others etc... What kind of LEDs where you looking at??

Gotta agree with Troy on this one. I use the Evolution LEDs on my display. When I moved everything over from the halide lighting I acclimated just like I used to under the halides. Started low or even partial shade and slowly worked to higher light areas. In a frag tank you may just need to find a way to hang the lights higher and slowly lower them.

I use a 40breeder with my frag rack about 6 inches from the bottom and I use an Evolution LED about 10" from the water. My chalices love it :)

Ive had a couple bleach out and others colour up and grow like crazy. The ones that did bleach were direct from the importer and perhaps it was my bad due to no light acclimation.

im getting one of the led pendandt from evolution...the pendants that are $299

can anyone give me some ideas on how to hang this, but not from the ceiling?

I went ghetto and used electrical conduit. Mounted two vertical pipes to the sides of the stand and attached a cross bar between. Sprayed the conduit black to match the stand then hung the pendants from those.
