Beautiful tank!!! Love the white sand bed as well!
I appreciate your complement. I am toying with the idea of adding a diamond goby (my favorite fish) but am a little concerned with the sand storm effect with all the flow in there. My last tank had a diamond goby and he was so fun to watch although he did result in increased turkey basting of plating montis and sand bed dwelling corals

I'm jealous of how clean your tank is... come to my house and help me get mine that clean.

I think you should get the diamond. I love mine.

lol the glass does get film build up on it pretty regularly now with it being a young tank... I just try to keep up with my mag float. About once a month I'll take the scraper to it to get closer to the water line and to get the more attached coralline algae off. my frag tank seems to be where any algae grows, but I do kind of use it as a settling tank as the overflow from the display goes to the frag tank. right now I am running activated carbon to help with some pinched mantle I noticed on my clam and I think that makes the water a little clearer. If my tank was hard to keep clean I think it would get annoying because I hate to clean(my wife love's to clean however, but she is afraid to touch my tank in fear she will mess something up...lol), but so far it has been good...

Mine is young as well... I bought it from Tyler in April and I don't think he was dosing CA/Mg. I was out of town for two weeks and the green coraline got pretty built up on the glass and I haven't caught up with it yet. I spent an hour on it Tuesday and got less than 2/3 of the front glass (6ft) done. I also just added another tunze ph, so that is helping with the detritus I was having settle in the corners. I need to replace a hydor with another tunze and step up the flow some more.

ahhh..well I guess you are enjoying the joys of a large tank then. getting the flow higher is always beneficial in my mind. while I love my mp40, if I as buying new equipment I'd go with the tunze pumps as well. they are great pumps and I have one or two in my tank. I run a wp40 in my frag tank and so far I like it very much however it doesn't do that intense undertow of the mp40 hence why I call it a sudo settling tank.
My coralline doesn't seem to grow to fast and is easily managed on the glass. I dont like it when my rocks or corals block me from scraping it off the glass and in previous older tanks I always had problems with it around the silicone joints

Where can someone get a tank like yours new? I did a search on the internet and couldn't find any.
its just a standard oceanic 58 gallon reef ready. I am not sure oceanic is still around though. I actually downsized from an oceanic 65 gallon but both tanks were bought used. sorry not too much help there

Very nice new additions, and beautiful clean look to the tank!!!! Keep it up and keep posting pics!!!
