So I have a 180 display with 2 tangs and 2 chromis, I used ttm to qt them before going in and have seen no signs of parasites since.

So I just got 2 clowns and a biota yellow tang yesturday and they are in qt now.

This morning i dropped a small piece of frozen food into the qt and it was too large.
Without even thinking i broke it in half and went and tossed the other piece into my display....so dumb.
The fish were acclimated in their bags and then netted out and put into the QT, none show signs of parasites.

I realize there is a chance some free swimming ich or velvet may have been on that piece I threw in but what are the chances really?

Im hoping that by netting the fish out of the bags and getting very little lfs water into the QT that theres a chnace there are very few free swimmers in the water at this point and i could get lucky?

I feel like you would have a better chance of winning the lottery than transferring ich via a piece of frozen food from a QT under those circumstances
I kinda feel the same but my heart sank right after i did it! Thanks for the reply
