Chances of recovery?

I won this rock at a frag swap and it came with 2 anemones on it. However one is horribly mangled. Should I remove it from the rock or give it a fighting chance?

It honestly might be a stress split. It was whole yesterday but had a torn foot and today it's this so it might recover...
