Fairly new to reefing. I set up a 60g tank early February. Cycled nicely. Fish and corals doing well. But I now realize I would like more bare sand area for corals. What kind of problems might I cause if I start rearranging?

Rearranging rocks in the tank shouldn't cause any problems IMO. You don't want to kick up a bunch of detritus, but being that your tank is only a few months old this really shouldn't be an issue. Just go slow. Once you have everything placed properly, maybe do a small water change. GL.
Yea, just keep the dust to a minimum, you should be fine.
