Changing brands of Salt Mix.

I've been using Oceanic salt mix for a while and I'm not really happy with it... So I Bought a 200 Gallon box of Kent and want to start using that. Is it ok just start doing water changes with a new mix? Will there be any issues I should be aware of.. This might be a real dumb question, but wanted to ask before I do my weekly water change.

I would do a change in %. Like 10% each time. But that's just me and not based on any first hand experience changing salts. =P

That is kind of what I meant. I change out about 12 gallons a week and just wanted to make sure that was fine or shroud I do less?

IMO, I would slowly introduce the new salt in stages as not to shock your system. To start, something like 25% new brand and 75% old brand for a couple of water changes. Then to 50%/50% next couple and then so on.

That's what I was trying to say. Not 10% water. 10% of the new salt across 10 water changes.

+ 1 on what is said. Acclimate your tank to new salt. Don't really think it would be a issue but better to be safe.
