Changing filter media

Hey everybody!
I am replacing my filter media with chemipure blue.
The package I have says treats 35 gallons. My tank in only 13.5 gallons.
Is it ok to use this.
Or should I open the bag and save half for later?

Seems like it should be alright. I'd keep am eye on phosphates and remove it if they get too low.

Thank you. I put it in the tank! I test phosphate weekly.
