Hey all. Long story but my tank got wiped out many months ago. Been disgusted since then so I’ve been lazy with water top off and been dumping tap water in my tank. Almost nothing in my tank but water and rock.

Phos/Nitrates off the chart high. Wanting to turn back to reef.

Will be doing a massive water change but my question is how hard will it be to completely get rid of NO3 and PO4? Think my sand and live rock are polluted?
Literally thinking about doing one massive water change 300+ gallons. Tank is 350.
Thoughts?

I would do the large water change like you said and just test/monitor the nutrients. You can use gfo and bio pellets or the media of your choice to control them from there if necessary.
