Right now I have a pair of clowns that have decided to host a nice 4 headed torch instead of the rbta in there as well. At first sight I was excited but then after reading this will probably be the demise of my beautiful torch. I’m wondering if I got the clowns into one of those mariner boxes along with the rbta if they would not only start to host the nem but leave my torch alone. Anyone have any experience with a clown or pair switching hosts and never really going back to its original ?

To clarify the torch still looks really good and healthy but I don’t really want them killing it.

What kind of clowns are they? If the natural host is a BTA (such as a maroon clown), they will most likely switch very quickly. If not the natural host, then they may never take to it. Putting both the clowns and nem in tight quarters can help the process, but there are some instances where the clowns are accidentally killed by the anemone (usually happens when the clowns are dumped right onto a nem and don't have a chance to acclimate).

They are occelaris snowflakes
And I was thinking about adding all of them to this thing
