so im not really liking the gyre......my main concerns are, the obvious single direction of flow which either governs the shape and height of the rockscape or is greatly hindered by the rockscapes height and shape otherwise you are going to get dead spots (no doubt about it)

the lack of being able to angle the flow to get the dead spots, and the inability to connect to a second gyre with out going all out with an apex and getting an icecap controller.

so i had been looking at the vortech range and was heading towards the mp40's but again i have two problems...1 they have no directional control and 2 i didn't leave enough space between the wall and the tank....4cm. so I'm left with going with an in "tank driven impeller system" with directional control.

which has whittled me down to the aqua medic ecodrift 4.0's (only been looking for an hour so there may be better out there)

so 1x ecodrift 4.0 is capable of running a 300l system (mines a 350, not including the rock volume) but ill be having 2 of em so suitable for a 600l system??

each head can move from 2000 to 4000 l/ph which to me sounds ample and they can be orientated to almost any angle (which is what I'm looking for) to eliminate dead spots.

my only concern (and I've not based this on experience just something in the back of my head) is that they are built with the help of jabeo, but have had their own improvements implemented into the heads themselves, but, use the jabeo controllers. do these have a good reputation?

they are supposedly super quiet and have quite a bit of control and also have a sensor that shuts the heads down to 50% power at night (dunno if this is needed?)

does anyone use these? what have you guys heard about them?

as per usual thanks guys

Following...I've got the 150 which is great at moving water in a 6ft tank but needing more random flow. Was considering the apex wav's.
