Changing membranes with a 150GPD Upgrade Kit?

What is the best way to change both membranes at the same time with a dual membrane system? Since they need to be flushed for an hour or so be for use. Should I flush them separately or is it OK to flush them in series?

Not sure if it's the right way or not but I change mine both at the same time and flush them both at the same time

My concern is if it OK to flush the stuff out of the first membrane in to (through) the second one because they are plumbed in series.

Is it possible to do one at a time? Leave the one empty and the other with the new membrane, then repeat?

I can do that but it will take twice as long and double the wasted water. Just not sure if that is necessary.

While there may be some decreased efficiency for the first 24 hours or so, I'd recommend just swapping both membranes out and replacing them with new ones if you're due for a filter replacement. During that 24 hour break in period, you'll likely notice slightly higher TDS into the DI resin, but that should fall. Because you're pushing higher TDS into the DI, you may notice slightly faster DI resin consumption. Depending on what that actual number is, you may chose to remove the DI resin from the DI canister and have the initial product water go down the drain.

Ooo. My mistake, I wasn't quite clear on my explanation. I try to change all of my filters at the same time. so I will change my membranes before I change my DI resin so I don't burn it up. After the membranes have been flushed then I will proceed to change the DI resin and the other two cartridges.
