I need some help to decide. [emoji29]

I got a 35 gallon tank. With an evergrow it2040 lightning.

These are the specs.

Now I got told that chinese cheap lights are not that good.

So now i can buy second handed an ATI Sirius X2 for a good price. How much beter is this? And is it worth it to buy it and replace my it2040.

Specs from the ATI

Now my tank is doing good on the LPS side of it. But my SPS not doing Super. Running the light now on 70% blue en 40% white on the high time of the day. Should I turn that up? Or is it because of the cheap led? And Should
I buy the ATI to keep my SPS on colour?

My parameters are al stable.

Foto of my Tank.

So please help [emoji28] im kinda in a dilemma.

What are the cons en pro's of both lights

And is it worth it to buy the ATI one for 250 euro's (new price is 560) and it is 2 years old.
Or just stick with the IT2040 and put precentages?

Looking at your tank, I'd say the light you have works very very well.

The LPS doing fine not a great growth but sps not doing great losing colour and eventualy tissue. And it isnt my parameters [emoji29] so i think it is the intensity (par) but a par meter is also not cheap.. [emoji29]

Many coral growth/tissue loss issues can be attributed to low water motion. Are your Tunzes running constantly or on pulse mode? I see Evergrow built your light system - it's 120 watt? If so, running them at 70/40 is likely a tad much for corals in the upper portions of the tank. Overall, the tank seems to be doing well.

^^^^yup.
As a reformed acro killer, you can kinda start telling the differences between how it's getting killed.
For me , darkening and some growth was been nutrients in some cases. Darkening to what looks like chocolate has been flow. Keeping in mind some of the differences in species type.

You can also look into a lux meter if a par meter is not easily available to rent or borrow.

IMO 100 par is "roughly" 6000 lux.

Oke i could try lower it down it is an 120watt yes what you recommend. I got one tunze on pulse other one on constantly and i switch that every 2 weeks. What you recommend pulse or constantly? I understand if this is to much the 146 watt ati sirius is not necessary at all and can i put my money on somethin else?

I got this idea because my lfs told me when i started that it is **** chinese lights and i could better invest in a better brand because of the led's they use. But so far this lamp did everything needed. Then i saw this offer of the ati sirius and that start me thinking of getting a better light. But if you al say thats it is totaly unneceasary then i keep it like this.

I had a couple of months ago a nitrate spike of 50 and brought it down to 5 again it could be that that is what wrecked my acro i bought some new ones this weekend so i give it a new try [emoji1360]

Should i only lower the whites? Or also the blue?

More flow is *usually* better, so try running both in constant speed mode and watch your corals closely for a couple of weeks. If not doing better, reduce the lighting to 40% blue and 20% white, and, again watch corals closely. Don't make two major changes at once or you'll never know what went right... or wrong.
