Changing the times I turn my light off

Hi guys, I currently have my aquarium light on from 8am-8pm I want to shorten this due to algae grow and want clear water. Would this upset my fish seen as he's been use to this for 2-3weeks.

I think most reefers like running 9-11 hours for light schedule with a ramp up and ramp down.

Myself run 11 hours and 1 hour on each end ramp up ramp down

I have adjusted the times a few times over the years the fish do not notice and will be fine! just dont constantly be adjusting the schedule. Daily, weekly, It will effect your corals more then the fish
