Started dosing vibrant to rid my tank of bubble algae then thought it might kill the chaeto refugium. If I remove the chaeto temporally how long should I wait before I add it back?

I would follow the instructions on vibrant - sometimes people can get away with a couple doses - some people dose it every week. So - it will depend on how long you plan to dose and how much. SOME people have reported that Vibrant had no effect on chaeto - it is my impression (and in my tank) that it should be removed until the vibrant is 'gone' - and since vibrant supposedly does not require any change in filtration (according to their website) - in theory that could be a 'long time'.

Many people also say - if you use the 'low dose' - you can leave your chaeto in place - if you're using the higher dose, remove it.

Also make sure - if you have a 'reef tank' - use reef tank vibrant. If you have a Fish only tank there is a different version (and there is also a freshwater version)
