These photos were taken in the dark with the camera flash. Under the 'daylight' aquarium lighting, the blue pops a little more.

The person I got these rocks from claimed it was coraline... But there were a lot of big fish in that conversation...

What do we really have here?

Honestly I think it's paint

Like reef saver rock

The rock is live, so it could have been reef saver rock at one point, or it could have been purchased live rock. I should note, these rocks were part of an entire system I purchased. I did not purchase these rocks for their blueness, lol...

I doubt it is paint, the consistency and colour variance is not right for paint. That said, it is not right for coraline either...

Anyway, it looks as though all the pieces of this mysterious blue rock are all fragments of one of the other rocks... So, I am thinking a mineral deposit, or possibly a blue coral skeleton...

I've seen blue coraline before, it kind of looks like it just not near as vivid.
Best thing to do is give it time, if it is coraline it will grow and spread.

Looks like coraline that lost the purple. I have some that has a white/blue tint that was a dark purple.

Yeah, exactly...

Looking further into it, I think @meir is onto something with the paint idea. I think this might be man-made rock, which is why the consistency is so weird. I broke the piece in picture number 2 in half and it looks like it could be porcelain.
