What version did you use (e.g., 3 or 4)? From what I have seen, it can be very helpful right up until its not. Just like I wouldn't use the current iteration of generative AI for detailed personal medical determinations for myself, IMO it can be very helpful for brainstorming and for creating a "first draft" that can be edited to correct factual issues.

I signed up today on the OpenAI website home page. . . so whatever version that is. My problem has been trying to get it to commit to solid answers haha it likes to beat around the bush and speak in generalities. . . but like you said it works great as a jumping off point.

It is! I agree. But it does have some issues. It’s great for quick answers and summaries for a lot of different things.

Based on my current understanding, GPT3 is what is available for free at the moment and GPT4 is available for a fee. I am told that there is an improvement in accuracy between the two version (although still opportunities for "hallucination" by the software).
