I most have done some thing wrong, (setting set wrong?) my avatar is not very sharp.

shot with Hasselblad with phaseone dig back, slight wide angle.
But thats not important, it is a combination of 3-4 shots. Sky from earlier time that night, then 2or3 different exposures. Using best parts of each to get best
over all effect, similar to HDR (high dynamic range) photos. HDR is fairly new
process to achieve holding on to a wider range of tones in a given subject.
Taken to extreme it can make a photo that will not even look real.

This is our new living room (a medium effect example)

I know this is probable not a very good explanation, so if any would like to know more we can talk at next meeting or PM me & I'll give my phone #

I'll host a meeting if I can ever get rid of the !@#$%^&* algae, could do small photo meeting if you'd like.
I am working on a algae scrubber so hopefully that will take care of the !@#$%^&* algae!

That is BEAUTIFUL!!! Both the sculpture and the photo's. I am very jealous of your photo abilities. I have a very nice very expensive Cannon, unfortunately it is no good to me because I have no idea how to use the stupid thing and most of the time I complain I shouldn't have let hubby convince me to buy it. I hope to one day figure out how to operate it so I can quit telling people my pictures are so blurry not because of a crappy camera but because of a crappy operator. :cry:

That is awefully impressive jim! Love the pic and the bowl. I will have to pic your brain about the carving, that looks like fun.
As for the algae, I just picked up a sea hair if you want to use it when im done
