Hey everyone I’ve had this tank for about 3 months now but just now getting to make a build. So a little bit about me I’ve been keeping fish for 8 years now I have a 90 gallon freshwater tank that I specialize in rare and more difficult fish such as uaru cichlids. I have always wanted a reef and I’m graduating high school this year and have been trying to talk my parents into a big tank 180+ but now that’s on hold because I have also wanted to do turbos on my camaro and that’s the route I’m going. I got the best of both worlds by finding this established biocube so a little about the tank I bought the tank for 300 dollars that included the tank, the hydro galaxy 165w led, 20# of rock and sand and a huge colony of gsp and a rock anemone. Which I thought was a decent deal. He had the the tank as a soft coral tank which I have never liked except for bounce shrooms. I have spent close to 2k on this tank since having it and it dosent surprise me because I have over 6k in my 90 with the stand and canopy and tank being 3k itself. But I added the following ecotech mp10 powerhead, brs pharma 2 part dosing, Santa Monica.6 algae scrubber, Aq pro 150w heater, and the coral life biocube stand, I also am using the kz nano power pack and am getting great growth and color from it.

So first fish I added was a long nose hawkfish as they have been a favorite of mine for years I also added a 5 for 50 frag pack from my lfs which included 2 acros 1 Red monti cap a chalice I also purchased another acro and a plate coral. All these corals are doing great except I lost the plate coral. I then added a clean up crew from clean up crews online

I then added a wcc bling bling and a Jason fox dayglo I scored on eBay after that I added the wcc wt-f acro and a cornbread atomic fireball acro. After that I bought a wcc bounce og shroom I bought from a member on here and during that trip up I made a appt with Than from tidal gardens and made a trip to see him and picked up a greenish Aussie torch and a Pink Floyd chalice and a brain coral. The Monday following this I lost my hawkfish as he jumped out of the tank I only had a half cover but I now put a screen on the tank. Then 2 Friday’s I ago I went and got another hawkfish and picked up a orange spotted goby. And last weekend I didn’t do anything because I had prom.

A little more about the tank I do a weekly 5 gallon water change using the Red Sea coral pro salt. I run the lights 65% blue 15% blue for 12 hr a day which seems to do well no bleaching. I feed half a cube of mysis every other day and also do zoo plankton. I use Hanna checkers and Red Sea test kits

Many will tell you an anemone is better suited for an established tank, like 6-12 months minimum. I want one too, but my 32g is pretty crowded right now and I'm also afraid an anemone will wreak havoc on my other coral until it finds its zone so I'm resisting the urge.

If the tank has been running for 3yrs, it should be fine to add a RBTA.
