Cheap ATO Reservoir

Anyone have a cheap food safe reservoir they are using for their ATO? I got one that was meant for pet food but the smell is crazy and feel I should use something else.

What size? I use a simple 5 gallon hedpak. $18 on Amazon.

Haha I know it sounds stupid but today it has a giant lid that I open and use a bucket to fill it up. When the pump is in the container do you take out the pump and fill it up or use a funnel?

I have my rodi tube go into it. Actually I have two of them. One is the ATO, the second has a pump that feeds the ATO. My rodi tube goes into the second. You could use a funnel too.

reefsupplies.Ca they have a 2.5 and 5 gallon jug that work really well for that.

I went to The Container Store and got an FDA approved 15 quart Tupperware and lid for around $13

I just bought a 10g brute trash can from home Depot for that very purpose.

I use a polypropylene storage container from IKEA but other hardware stores should have similar items too ( for my smaller tank ) and my larger tank just draws water directly from my ro storage container which the rodi outputs into (a 32 gal brute trash can)

I use a really inexpensive 2 gallon cereal container I got from Walmart for $6.13. The trick is to get something that has a fill hole or pop off lid that does not cover the whole top of the container:

I just got a 25 litre barrel with a lid and made a hole big enough for cable/ connector to go through and the tubing then once a week on wc day I unscrew lid and place funnel in and top up with more rodi then it's good to go till next wc
Had this planned out with rest of plan about my tank before tank set up so just left enough room for it next to tank in corner of room .
Pump that comes with ato is tiny so can fit in in hole

Ordered a 5 gallon plastic jug with a decent sized hole in the top from Amazon. Works great for my Duetto ATO.

5g bucket with lid from Walmart / $5. Drill a little hole in the top for your line and dunzo
