Is anyone else using this switch? I've tested it out a few times and have had it up and running for a couple months now...

Yup been using it for about 2 years now with two 12ah batteries in series to power a gyre. I also use the voltage protector to drop batt power at my minimum voltage of 24.0 vdc so I dont kill the SLA batteries I'm using in this application.

Looks to be the same as I bought.

Definitely use some sort of low voltage cutout on the battery - lead acids hate being totally run down.

I built one for my 12V ecotech feed at the battery site. Never got around to building a monitoring board because I really don’t end up needing this ever. Voltage supervisor IC, two back to back FETs. Free fuse. 100AH 12V Gel battery

Great minds think alike, main reason I brought up the low voltage protector to the OP.

LiFePo4 is going to be the next iteration for the gyre backup on my 120g (giving the SLA batts another year or so).

SPS cube has mp40's so it was easy enough to wire up a proper battery tender to a 12vdc LiFePo4 that's rated @18ah.

Gonna switch to a 48V LiFePO4 system and some DC/DCs if I get this 150g up. Totally recommend ditching the lead acids :)
 
Hmm... 48vdc huh? Solar I assume or access to a 48vdc battery set up already?

I have a 100watt 12vdc rv solar setup I got cheap just in case. Figure in a long outage after I've drained gas out of everything with 4 & 2 wheels and ran the genny bare its power of last resort.

The SLA's will be gone soon, even though they are sealed, I watch them like a hawk, figure 3 years of life is about enough to dump them, got them via excess @ work, so no out of pocket cost.
 
I added that same low voltage cut off ckt, every time the power goes out, and the backup switch kicks in, that low voltage cut off switch resets to 12v! so it's not remembering the 24v I set it to.

I have it between the backup switch and the pump.
If I place it between the battery and the backup switch, then it uses the battery and I have to add a "top-off" charger to the battery... :upside-down-face:

This B my ongoing sagga, problems with pump controller not working straight off the battery. controller runs off of Jebao power supply and the Jebao controller runs straight off the battery but this pump will not... Any one run into this?

Whats the voltage going to the pump driver from the battery? It may have a high voltage cutout.

26.5-ish Volts, I'll have a go at putting a Buck converter on there to lower it see what happens...

Do think the controller/driver might be looking for pulsed DC?
It boasts "Sine Wave controller" so maybe it requires the 60/30hz?
I'm just grasping at straws :-)
