Looks like it would work. You may have better luck with a 5700k bulb though as there is more red thrown into the spectrum. This one only goes to about 2700k which is a more bluish white.
Didn't know that. I thought higher numbers were more blue. I guess I can see what they have.

Not trying to spend a lot.

I bought this light off of amazon and the growth in my chaeto is crazy. In 2 weeks it went from a fist size to a football size as you can see.

Defiantly get at 6500k led bulb! I run that and blow algae up to the point other people have been irritated with my posts, because they Spent hundreds on lights for a fuge!
I only paid 20 bucks! For a philips 65 watt let bulb! It’s a spot light so it’s super bright!

How many hours a day should I run the fuge light?

Actually 2700K is more orange/yellow a 6500K is blue and 10000K is more blue.

Full time for keeping ph stable in DT over night it does help. As far as kelvin goes I try to go as close to the sun for growing algae as possible, but 65ook seems to be the sweet spot for me, considering the sun is 5900k, every tank is a little different with its bioload and nutrient production and uptake.
