Cheap/ possibly free frags?? <3

Hi all I started my first aquarium about a month and half ago and water has been cycled and steady now for 2 weeks, i know its still kind of young and early but anyway. I have 2 clowns in the tank and 60 pounds of lr/base rock mix... my lighting is a vertex illumina 200 on a 65 gallon system. with a 20gal sump skimmer etc.. anyway.... I didnt notice until the last few weeks how expensive coral is... i thought the equipment was the expensive part until now :'(

anyway i am looking to see if anyone would be willing to donate or possibly put together a cheapsh frag pack for me to get started with...???

I will say that my plans for the tank will be softy lps dominate, few sps up top.

I am in love with frogspawn, hammers, torches, brains, stuff like that... if you have anything that you could donate or give for a decent price that would be really appreciative!! <3

I know what you mean by expensive... Im pretty new myself, so i decided i will buy a coral every payday, watch them grow while putting some more money for another one.. Its slow but in this hobby being patient is important..
I have. A few now, growing nicely.
Another thing ic you have a LFS, they have corals for $10-15-20 a piece, and of course higher
I wish you good luck, if i had more i would gladly help..

At the LFS, actually you can find gems for about $20 even lower sometimes.
Shipping is expensive also, cheapes ive seen is $35, if im not mistaken. Again good luck, its an awesome hobby so dont give up.

Gotta be a local reef club down there somewhere you can join up with. Best way to get started IMO if you are really tight.

Also as mentioned by someone else, don't forget that TAKING YOUR TIME is the best way to economize - take the time to save up for what your really want vs getting what's available for cheap!

lol I am willing to pay any shipping, I as far as taking time goes, this process has been over the past year xD just ready to start getting a few pieces in there. You know my pain? lol

but anyway, what i meant by cheap is I cant see paying $50+ for a plug at the LFS when people sell them on local forums for 25 or so lol
reached out there and got a few responses from some great guys, was just curious if anyone else on here could help. <3
