I have 3 mp40's and one mp10. Truthfully there is always an issue. Noise, vibrations..ect. I just sent in the last one I bought. I have not been successful in changing out the bearings on the dry side. Just yesterday I broke the magnet where the bearing attaches. I was looking around amazon for powerheads and found the one below in the link.

It's been operating for over 12 hours and it's still running. lol. The thing puts out a ton of water. I have it in the top back corner at about 75 degree angle. The back of the aquarium is black so it's not too noticeable.
I'm hoping to get 9 months use out of them. I had 2jebaos for around 3 years so who knows. For 70 bucks you can almost buy 7 of them for the price of an mp-40.

I was also considering these;

Not much to report. So far, the powerhead has not skipped a beat. I will say that these start at 30% so it may be too much for certain tanks.

Also, I ended up getting the sdw 9's for a temporary 40 breeder. So far so good. Size is the same width as an mp-10. Length is about 1" longer. They are at 70% else mode. Note, like an mp10, they only point straight out.

First pic, rw-20 on the left. Mp-40 on the right. 2nd pic, 2 sdw 9's.
