Has anyone purchased this one?

If you have I'd like to know what the build quality is like compared to the BRS units. If I get the pressure gauge and inline TDS meter separate it's ~$190, $100 cheaper than the comparable BRS unit. However I would assume the BRS unit is going to come with better quality filter media, but I also assume once I use the media it came with I could use whatever media I like, such as the BRS stuff. The reviews look good but I'm always leery of trusting the reviews on amazon. Is there anything I'm overlooking here?

I believe the filters make the system, everything else is pretty generic. I have a SpectraPure system and buy filters and bulk DI resin from BRS.

No doubt, that's why I'm looking at cheaper systems and planning on using the BRS medias and filters. Only concern is maybe this unit isn't as thick plastic or o-rings go to hell or who knows what.

I'm sure everything about that unit is the lowest quality they can find. In the Q/A section he refuses to give brand names, rejection ratio of the RO membrane and no where is it mentioned the micron rating of the filters. Filter housings are probably no different than BRS. I'm still using my filter housings from 1995. Just changed the o-rings out a few years ago for the first time. The RO membrane is the expensive part so if you can get the normal 3 to 5 years out of it then you should come out ahead. I would also invest in a handheld tds meter.
