I had some leftover acrylic and a whisper hob filter and decided to combine the two to make the world's easiest algae turf scrubber. I always have had issues growing chaeto but this seems to work well. All I did was bend the acrylic into a trough shape, cut the ends so it would slip on to the hob filter outlet and put a piece of plastic mesh in it. The hob filter hangs on my sump and sits under my fuge light. Good results so far. Total investment of $1.06 for the mesh, all other materials I had on hand.

Nice DIY Scrubber

I might just build one of these. It really shows how simple it can be. Thanks!
