Cheapest place to buy EGG CRATES for frags?

Hey guys I've been looking for a black egg crates and they are all very expensive and I don't want to spend that kind of money on some plastic so I need your good advice where the good bargains is at? Lol

I've never seen black crate. Not even online for sale.
I have the white from lowes and it's a pain. What's the difference in color?

I'm in the process of making my own rack with acrylic now.

No difference just personal preference. Of course you can see all the dirt and algae on the white crate. You can get the black egg crate at home depot.

I've heard rumors that white leeches phosphates but it's never really been proven. Was curious why OP preferred black to white. That's all.
I went with white because it's cheap and I'd only ever seen black in frag rack applications. I.e. Never knew Home Depot carried them.

I get it at Lowes or home depot. White, never seen it in black. A full piece is about 2'x4' and is less than $10. Bulk reef supply has black sheets in 2'x2' for around $15 and no shipping charge...

I've heard the "rumor", but I have white eggcrate in my SPS frag tank. I have no issues with algae, but I do run gfo and have a decent cuc. I like the look of black much better, but white was locally available and was half the cost for twice as much.

usually a local distributor for interior/office building crap carries it for fairly cheap, but you'll have to call around to find it. I think the last time I got mine, it was around $8 per sheet (2x4).
