cheato algea helo！

My cheato algea almost...I think it is stop growing after po4 raise frome 0.04 to 0.33 why？I thought cheato algea like po4 higher. And all little algea on glass are disappear. Why？ no3 almost 0 all the time. Really need you guys help.

To expand as I was on my way out earlier. The chaeto won’t grow without NO3, so you need to take care of the imbalance you have. The stalled growth due to no NO3 is allowing your PO4 to rise.

Do you have a skimmer? You might want to run some GFO and feed heavier as a starting point. Depending on your import/export balance, your refugium might be too efficient.

Exactly. Your Chaeto growth is stalled so it’s not pulling PO4 out anymore. You need to get your NO3 up to get it growing again.

I would be too lol. Get some GFO in a bag going until you get some NO3 in there. Just keep testing and make sure you don’t also zero out the PO4.
