I added a Cheato into my sump, it look like if doing great job by lowering my numbers...
but I would like to keep phosphate at 0.01-0.05 ppm and nitrate at 10 ppm.
currently I'm dosing for nitrate so I can keep my target balance +-, but I'm not sure how to keep my phosphate level up. should I dose for that also? should I feed my fish more food?
some people said that some food contained more pH then other type, is it true?

I would just trim the chato when the numbers get too low.

Food ph? Typo?

I am a firm believer that fish poop is the best phosphate and nitrates you can get. Increase feedings. A good quality food like LRS reef frenzy helps.

I'll give it a shoot, I don't have a lot of fish in my tank also so I'm not sure how much they can eat lol

Add fish, reduce cheato size and reduce fuge photo period are all the things to increase nutrient levels in the system. Or just dose phosphate and nitrate.

You want some phosphate. You can dose with reagent grade Trisodium Phosphate available on Amazon.

But just increasing feedings is a good idea. If you have to, you can supplement with dosing in order to hit your target. Every system is different and you do what works.
