Cheato Thread stuck in my tangs gills

Please help what should I do? The thread of cheato has got stuck to my tangs gills and im not being able to catch it not take pics for showing as its very fast. Its swimming like crazy

The only two things I can think of would be to A) catch the tang and gently remove the offending algae or B) not catch the tang and hope he shakes it off on his own.

Other members of the #reefsquad might have an idea, though . . .

It removed on its own, but she has some sort of dent i get on the gills. Swimming and eating well though

Just give it time. Having a bit of cheato stuck to it isn't a big issue. He should get over it pretty quick.
