Cheato

I have added a small handful of cheato to my sump a few months ago .
it’s completely taken over the first section of my sump
Nitrates and phosphates have been lower than ever .
2.5ppm nitrate , .05 ppm phosphates .
im thinking of removing some cheato but how much is the question .

be careful not to bottom out both nitrate and phosphates

Agree with 1/3. Makes great fertilizer for your plants and gardens.

It's a balance of having room to grow vs size of chaeto. Large amount with room to grow will consume the most nutrients.
