Working on dialing in my alerts and failsafes and just want to confirm I’m doing it correctly. If @SuncrestReef or anyone else can chime in.

I set up 4 switches and I want an alarm notification if any of them close. Two are ALD floor sensors and two are float switches. One for my sump and one for my skimmer cup. I programmed them all as follows.

Look correct?

In addition, I reconfigured my fan plug on my EB832 for my non Apex ATO. I want the Apex to cut power to the ATO if the sump float gets triggered. Is the following done correctly?

For your EmailAlm, the program needs to start with Set OFF on line 1, then followed by the rest of your code.

Since float switches can toggle between Open and Closed rapidly when the water is at a certain level, it’s best to add a Defer delay to force it to have a consistent reading before triggering the alarm:

Defer 000:05 Then ON

For your ATO, you need a Set ON in addition to Fallback ON. Fallback only tells the output what to do if the EB is not in communication with the Apex. And again, I’d recommend a Defer timer for the float switch:

Fallback ON
Set ON
If Sw1 CLOSED Then OFF
Defer 000:05 Then OFF.

Only thing I did different.....

I hated the general email alarm. Remember in a few months was SW1 is.....

I made a couple virtual outlets with names so when I get an email alarm I get the name of the virtual alarm instead of the SW1.

Thanks to both of you!

I will throw the Defer line in to be safe, but not sure I need it. I have a stand-alone ato that I am leaving as is. I’m putting the sump switch an inch or two above the water level in my return chamber. It will be a third failsafe in case my ATO goes completely haywire, and should not be getting tripped ever hopefully.
