Ok I'm new to the hobby. Bought a pre set up tank online that was a FO set up with only basic necessities. Their stock was
1 yellow tang
1 black cap basslet
2 perculla clowns
1 blood shrimp

So far I've added
2 feather dusters
2 peppermint shrimps
6 blue legged hermits
1 fighting conch
1 fire goby
1 scooter blenny
And close to 30lbs of live rock
I've ordered
1 porcelain crab
2 engineer gobies
1 pearly jawfish
5 nassurai snails

I would love feed back on my stock. This is a 75g with a 125g rated protein skimmer. I know the tang won't do well but he came with the tank
Thank you

The yellow tang should do just fine, mine is lovely in my reef. Everything sounds like it should do fine with one another. I also have two engineer gobies and they love to tunnel, they have almost dug holes from one side of the tank to the other. So I would be careful, they have already made some of my smaller portions of rocks fall. Other then that everything sounds good.

K sweet thanks. Do you think the porcelain crab will pose a threat to anything?

That is a lot of fish for a 75g tank. Tangs typically require a larger tank. Also tangs, especially yellow tangs are very territorial and can get nasty to other fish. I suspect you could see some bullying due to the crowding. Do you only have 30lbs of rock or did you order 30lbs MORE? 30lbs is not enough for that tank, you need about 100 lbs.

I'm going to add an extra 60lbs when I have the funds for it. Like I said if I get the opportunity ill sell the tang because I know the tang is too small for it

You don't need "live" rock, just get the much cheaper "base" rock. It will become live in a few months.

I've seen it as cheap as a $1/lb. Also try Craigslist. Around here there is always rock for sale super cheap.
