I really like this shot and I wanted to share it with everyone.

Enjoy!!!

I really like that shot too!!! Why do you have the panels in it?

like a rainbow acan python going through that pen! NICEEEE!!!!!

the panels are for flow, turns it in to the Acan Highway!!! VERY VERY NICE!!

Wow, thats a lot of acans you have there. Did you collect them for that tank, or do you propagate them? Great colors in those guys.

What lighting are they under? I have a hard time keeping mine from turning "Red".....

That's a sweet looking set up. Mind giving us some stats on the tank and what you do with it etc? I just really like what you've got going here!

i think it's time to do some fragging and some pack sellin'............

That's a nice sump! The corals in-between the bubble trap walls are a nice touch. Just kidding, lol. Really nice acans, man I wish you were local!

That is nice!!

Thanks! I took the pic on a stepladder lol.

Every once in a while I get lucky with a nice shot ;) Thanks! The internal walls are to redirect flow through my tank. Both of my coral raceways run for many hours everyday off just a gravity feed with no pumps on in the tank. Its a style of raceway.

Lol. Thats why I like to share with everyone! :)

Very nice! Unique design.

I appreciate that for real. I tried really really hard for years thinkin outside the box before I could envision my design. This design took me over a year and a half to conceptualize. I have many dated sketches showing earlier ideas that never came to fruition. Different types of raceways and setups. It would actually be pretty cool to post some of those sketches some day. We'll see. This raceway is far from perfect. There came a time when I just had to go with the design I had. Next generation raceway will be much more functional.

Holy!!!!!!! Now that is awesome. What is up with the baffles in the tank?

Haha thanks! They are my 'propellers' that don't use energy ;) Learn more in my thread starting on the first few pages I explain it pretty well. Link below.

I really like that, the acan highway thing. I'm gonna use that saying. Very creative and thank you!

It is a Raceway setup if I'm not mistaken.

Not all raceways are like mine tho. Many times they are just straight tanks. In the racing world those would be the drag strip raceways, lol.

I know waaay too crowded. But it makes for one heck of a picture! I collected them based on the colors I prefer and that are the rarest for my private collection. I will be propagating them much further once I have more tank real estate in my warehouse. I love the colors too.

They are under t5's but the issue for you might be that you are buying wild acan colonies or frags cut from freshly imported wild colonies. Wild acans that are bright many times will loose their brightness or rainbow. Thats why I try and buy aquacultured because I know that the polyps grew up in a tank. If these aquacultured polyps retain their amazing colors they are a winner. Thats why I rarely collect wild acans anymore Too many times you pay too much for colors that will disappear :(

Thanks! Its a 120g system with 5 tanks plumbed together. The middle two are raceways for corals which don't need pumps for the water to move. Saltwater is pumped from the bottom tank to the top tank where it can flow through the tanks back to the bottom tank via gravity. The walls concentrate the flow inside each tank. More info is in my thread. Please join me in there the link is above.

I'm planning on waiting two more years before I start distributing many of these beauties. But I know I will have to make a few exceptions ;)

very very nice setup, i love those jokers on the bottom next to the baffle. what king of lighting?

t5's all the way! Thanks I got those jokers because they have orange speckles in the green band, plus the green is waaay bright. Its a unique color combo. I really need to get a close up of 'em.

Those look great! How many different kinds do you have in there? Do you only keep Acan Lords?

Mostly all acan lords in the top tank, chalices and other stuff in the bottom coral tank of the two. I've got probably a lil under a hundred different acans. Not really sure though haven't counted in a long time, lol

Haha I'm sure you've heard of an aiptasia scrubber filter well why not an acan scrubber filter. They like dirty water, real dirty water. Plus they are way cooler than chaeto! Ill is not that far away from Wi, road trip!

Truly impressive!!!!

:)
