Found these the other day.

TimeWarpEyeszoa102010.jpg

They look like sunflowers that grew in a toxic waste dump....which means, What an awsome zoa!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks everyone, they are really cool. Need to get some better pics, and one of them all opened.

I'm not a big Zoa guy Rob, but those are sweet! Good pickup.

It may be "stable" but those polyps are not happy in it. Give us a picture with the day lights on and not just the actnics.

I would have to say those look like eagle eyes/whammin' watermelons that suffered either physical stress or a disease factor that messed up their pigment pattern. They can do random things with their colors when they get stressed/injured. Often the colors from the skirt can bleed into the center of the polyps. Usually it's not stable. It would be cool if they stayed that way and reproduced, but my feeling is that they will end up being one of the two mentioned.

This, of course, is not to imply that this stress factor occured in your tank, but could easily have happened before you got them; very likely happened during transit if they are wild collected.

This was my exact thought when I saw these the other day. Was wondering if I was the only one that felt that way.......

I kind of doubt they will stay the same either, but it would be nice.

I had eagle eyes that turned into these when I removed my glass shield from my metal halide pendant. The glass removal caused the uv to sunburn most of my corals which caused a crash. The eagle eyes survived and later healed with a bit of a morph.
