Check out the new polyp on the left that has the green stripes. This polyp was born in my tank :) Never seen anything like it. It morphed from a Yellow Rings of Saturn frag. Enjoy!

Look nice, Kris

Thanks Pierre!

cool morph! Let's hope it stays.....

Darren

Thanks :) I've been growing that polyp for nearly 6 months already and its just gotten bigger. The question is whether babies from that one polyp will have it. And if there would be a different outcome if I frag away that one different polyp or if I leave it part of the colony. I feel like if I seperate it completely then there will be a greater chance of it producing identical clones. What do you guys think? Frag it off and let it grow on its own?

I think you should remove it.Dose Ring Of Saturn have green in it naturally? If not, looks like some of the other polyps are getting green in them, maybe its just me,but Im not sure,I see green in the polyp above it.

I personally,like it alot!

I have seen alot of YROS frags for sale that were from the same wild colony as well as many other YROS frags that were not of this same origin. Never saw one with the green striping. And yes I did see a lil of that green in the polyp above it. Coincidence that its baby had green streaks?

You just don't see this type of striping in acan lords. I don't think I've seen a stripe extend from the center all the way outwards to the outer rim. Very unique and exciting. Anyone else seen this type of striping? Please post pics here :)

I've had some orange (rainbow type) acans bud off full green or half green polyps. I'm not sure why it happens but I've had these acans stay green for over a year so I am pretty sure the change is permanent.

Left side has a full green and half green polyp. Center has a full green polyp.
