I have seen those several times at LFS's and online....they are really weird looking and only once have I seen them with the polyp open so they just looked like bland stalks most of the time.
 
I think someone told me they are nocturnal, only come out at night! Not sure if this is correct info, but that is what I think I remember.

they do look kinda cool.

i thought the stalks were the polyps? ha idc i like them they're unusual and the stalks have those bluish spots that i'm sure will glow under actinics

Their stalks do have dots and stuff on them but they actually have a flowery looking polyp on the end that opens up.

They are snake polyps. They open sometimes in the day but it is nothing spectacular. They are typically found like sun polyps are. Upside down in caves. They never really propogate and just sit there. I have a few that I got in a trade and they look interesting, but I do think they are interesting and not something seen too often.
 
so they really dont grow, just sit there and look the same lol thats cool but boring as well still i would like some bc most people dont have them
