Just thought i would pass this along. I stopped at the Madison Petco today to pick up a couple of extra snails and hermit crabs. They were marked what I would have thought they would cost, but when i checked out with my petco card they came in a like 0.99 each for the snails and crabs. Was a nice surprise so i ended up going back for another round. I asked how long the sale would be and the fish manager said till the 22nd. I don't know about that but either way right now that's one heck of deal.

I was in the Petco in Huntsville a few days ago, so a 99 cent snail sign, and only noticed one snail in the tanks. Looked like the Florida cerith I get from reefcleaners (they sell them for ~$0.60) and of course you have to pay shipping or get a quick crew with shipping included, but if you are going to order a large crew, and depending on how far you live from a Petco, you might have better luck ordering.

But, yea, picking up a small crew at that 99 cent price is notable. Thanks for the tip.

I don't know if it is on all snails and crabs, but i picked up some blue leg hermits and astrea snails, but they had red legs crabs and turbo snails. might have had some others if you looked for them. this was at the madison store on 72.

The Madison store on 72 seems to have more than the Huntsville store on 72. Saltwater tanks were only recently added to the Huntsville store.

I got some from the Decatur store a while back. Snails and hermits were .99 or less except for turbos. The Decatur Petco has the largest salt water section. They also seem to have more sales on livestock than Madison. I guess because they have more stock, it triggers more sales.

reeftopia.com has great prices on cleanup critters. I would be interested in putting togethers another group buy if people wanted to order. I caught my wrasse so I can get shrimp and not have them be eaten now.

Trish Im interested. Im in need of one or two emerald crabs and a few peppermint shrimp. Also if you ever want to do a livestock order from Aquatic Connection or Live Aquaria I might be interested. They seem to have a good selection of fish Anthias among others.
