Chem pure elite and purigen

We have a 32 biocube. I’ve read some other forums where people have run chem pure elite and purigen in their media trays.. thinking about doing the same but haven’t found a lot of info about doing both... would that be overkill?

I always ran ChemiPure Blue and Purigen in my BioCube. Couldn’t tell you if both combined did anything but my tank was always great

I've run both before in my IM Nuvo Fusion 40 all in one without any issues. I don't run purigen anymore though, not because it caused any problems but because I think it was a bit redundant.

I have been running ChemiPure Blue since I started my tank and it's been nice. It has never stripped everything to zero, but it's helped to keep things in check in the event I overfeed. On it's own it's been fine.

I ran it for years before I got a sump system. Worked great with my AC70 hob filter.
