While you can, siphon the remainder and reduce white light intensity OR number of hours of white light and add 1.5ml of liquid bacteria per 10 gallons during the day for a week, and should rid of remainder

I've left it in longer (and started skimming sooner) to no ill effects. The reduction in cyano seems to be on day 2 or 3 normally, so it could also just be on its way out, but not all the way there yet, and even if you did the water change now the remainder may still go away.
