chemi clean and nems

so i’m thinking about using chemi clean. i’ve heard mixed reviews on if it was reef safe. especially if it’s safe for my bta. so what’s ur opinion

I used it as per the directions in a 40g tank that had about 35 Rock Flower Anemones that ranged from full adult of 5" diameter to some babies that were 1/8" in diameter. I didn't lose any and they all looked just fine during the process.

But that's just my experience. Others may have different experiences.

It is pretty safe. Follow the directions. It is just a band-aid and what caused the cyano will make it come back, but I would not sweat using it with some 'nems.

Used it and it worked.... or so I thought! I could not believe it! Then 2 weeks later bam an outbreak 2x worse then fist and chemi clean won’t touch it. Did they recommend dose and nothing. 72 hrs later without a water change I did another full dose. 48 hrs later did a 20% water change ( kinda started getting a little scared something might happen) and still battling. Find the root cause. Just my 2 cents. I’m still looking for mine.. lol but to stay on track, even after doubling down, I seen zero negative effects on any of my creatures, shrimp, men’s, sps, lps. Just make sure you have good gas exchange if you do go that route!
