So my tank has a plague of cyano that I want to get rid of. I hate adding stuff to the tank, but I am getting desperate. Read mixed reviews on BRS, but most were positive. Has anyone used this stuff? Was it successful? Anything I should watch for?

I have already gone lights out for 3 days, performed large water changes, and cut off dosing any additional items. My build thread is below if you need a reference point.

Thank you!

I have used it twice and both times it worked like a charm.
Just make sure you follow the directions and you will be ok

I've used it with good success, definitely gets rid of the cyano. It can come back though if you don't change what caused it in the first place. Run carbon afterwards if you can, do a big water change and you won't be able to run your skimmer for a little while but overall it did work for me.

Keep your tank very oxygenated. I think that causes 99% of any problem people have with chemi clean. I took the plug off the bottom of my skimmer's collection cup and let it overflow right back into the sump during the treatment. Carbon removes the medication and helps the skimmer get back to normal.

1 treatment per the directions on the bottle (pro liquid version) did the trick for my tank. It never came back.

I use it as a preventive maintenance every other month on half the dosage as prescribed. Good for Corals as a cleansing agent especially zoas that might get be covered with algae. Beware though, it could cause chaos on your skimmer. I turn off the skimmer for a week and 3 days of continuous water change after the week will clear it right up.
