Chemi clean help

Used chemi clean on my 75 gallon tank with 40 pounds of sand
60 pounds of live rock
With a 20 gallon Long sump
I put 8 scoops of the low Powder taking that there is rock on the tank and also sump isn’t that full only half way
I should be fine with that amount of should u put more

A lot of people do smaller doses with success. Having good aeration and water movement helps a lot. I forget how much each scoop treats but chemiclean works well as long as you are close to the recommended dosage and if you're worried about overdosing chemiclean is pretty forgiving in that regard too. Some of the store tanks I had had really poor water flow so to compensate I would add more chemiclean than recommended and I never lost a fish or invert

However I do not recommend overdosing anything and just recommend following instructions

Just use the recommended dose,
Ive done it a few times,
Just make sure you use an air stone,
Overflow the skimmer with out the cup, aeration at the water surface.
Great results every time.
Ive also had sensitive sps, squamosa clams, lps, and not a single loss.
