I have just about got the cyano gone but still few spots. Hanna checker shows .03 phosphate, salifert 0, api 0. Nitrates are 5. So I plan to use the chemi clean to rid the tank of it hopefully. They recommend air stones or something. I seem to have plenty aeration and can point ph towards the surface if needed. For those that have used it did you add anything or notice anything stressing from the treatment? Also did you use recommended or less? Just want to make sure I am ready . I do have water ready for a water change if needed.

I had a pretty severe pH drop from it. Majorly stressed several of my corals, almost wiped out a colony of blue clove polyps, and took out my cleaner shrimp.

Used it. Didn't run anything different other than angling up 1 powerhead. Used recommended dose for tank size, not total volume. ZERO stress on fish, corals or inverts. Take your skimmer cup off or it's just going to overflow.

Don't give up hope after 24 hours. I saw zero change. 48 hours I saw less red. 72 hours it was totally gone. Did a 20% WC after 48, as recommended. It even killed off some cyano I had in the sump.

I just did this and didn't see any physical changes in my tank except the cyano gone. I took cup off skimmer and left it on. Didn't do anything else out of the ordinary.

There is a problem. My skimmer is external. Wonder if I ran a line from the drain to the sump if it will be keep up or will the skimmer really go crazy?

It definitely took care of the cyano, just had the other impacts too. I did a large WC when it was done and everything recovered. Except my shrimp of course :/

Your skimmer will go positively insane. It's simply not possible to keep it from overflowing. You'll either need to take it offline and supplement with air stones or find a way to constantly drive water back to your sump.

Mine foamed like mad. But the drain may keep up with it. Or reduce the air Into it.

Didn't bother my Skunk Cleaner shrimp at all. Caused my bristle worms to act funky for a while. No drop in PH at all. Didn't bother my corals at all either. I took my HOB skimmer off line for 2 days, no biggy.
Without a doubt, use an air stone!!

I have been using zeovit products to rid some cyno but It Is not working. I have been thinking about trying this product but was a little paranoid about using anything that has chemicals. From what I am reading it seems that it may be a safe product to use.

I used it without any issues, but I also just left my skimmer on and let it overflow.

I was trying to get rid of diatoms at the time. It didn't help with those, although I've heard its hit or miss, I tried it anyway.

Ok treatment went well so far, but how long till my skimmer acts right?? Plan another water change tonight but skimmer is going nuts.

Hey Corey - Sorry for the delay in answering.

On mine, I did the 20% water change after 72 hours and it calmed down a lot. It still took another 3 days before the skimmer as back to normal though.

Im running a lifereef external 36" it finally settled down. Cyano is gone for good I hope. Now for the display fuge to get going good and maybe remove the gfo.
