Which one is better, and does chemi pure blue have gfo in it?

The blue does have high capacity gfo if I remember correctly. I used elite in my biocube 29 and switched to the blue but ended up switching back to elite. The blue did not seem to last as long as the elite imo.

Elite has GFO and carbon. Directions says it will last 3 months but I change mine out each month.

They say the Blue doesn't remove trace elements from the water so it's suppose to be good for reef tanks. I have seen reports where the Blue doesn't last as long.

Blue is suppose to be the improved version of elite...I'm running elite now but gonna try out blue in a few months

I have ran both without much of a difference between them (besides price...although I was not monitoring trace element levels). Elite added GFO and Blue was supposed to not remove as much of the trace elements. I have also read that Blue contains Purigen....not sure if that is true or not.

The Blue does contain Purigen but like many others have noted it doesn't last long at all. One month for the BLue vs 3 months on the Elite IME.
