Hi everyone
Has anyone used this in their tank? I purchased some and I was getting ready to use it in my media basket. I rinsed and rinsed and rinsed the bag of and it still is coming out as grayish water. I don't want to have it do that in my DT. Can anyone help with this problem? Thanks:)

I have, its good stuff never had an issue with it. I use to change it every 5 weeks. However I run Aquaforest now . But yes its good stuff

Ok thanks, I'll try it and see what happens.

I use it always, removes all phosphates. Great stuff, properly the best for the money. I add a new one every 3 months, depending on bio load. The black silt is normal, but be sure to use R/o water to rinse. Put it in a half bucket of water, shake it up and down, then squeeze as much water out, then dump it in sump. Don't worry about any black stuff, that's normal.

I've used both elite and blue. I change mine every 90 days, never had any issues and have would definitely recommend either. When rinsing just let the water flow throw, don't rub or mix the bag too much.

FWIW, Chemie Pure Elite won't likely do anything that GFO and GAC together won't do, although it is put in a nice package for drop in use.

Using separate GAC and GFO can be less expensive and you could potentially elect higher quality of those ingredients (such as ROX carbon), or change them at different intervals.

I have been using it for a couple of weeks and now it looks like my blue tang has HLLE, can this course it? please help
