Hello,
I am in the planning stages of my 60 gallon display tank, which will be converted to a dwarf cuttlefish tank soon. It is up and running, it's a pretty bare-bones reef tank right now - but I'm going to play around, upgrade some stuff, and turn this thing into a sweet tank to house three dwarf cuttlefish, rather than the Octopus briareus that I have been planning on.
For now, I am wondering which form of carbon I am going to run in the tank. Which do you prefer of the three listed in the title? Filtration for the tank will be carbon and filter floss run in some sort of filter (either a big custom HOB filter, a canister filter, or a ~25 gallon sump). There will be macroalgae kept in the display, a skimmer rated for 55-100 gallons, plenty of live rock, and I am debating either a Sulfur Denitrator or a remote DSB for extra nitrate reduction.
I am just stuck on what kind of carbon to run, at this point. Elite is about 1.4x the cost of standard, and blue is about 1.7x the cost of standard. Are these costs worth it?
I'll post a build thread whenever I get some more things planned out, and I'll post some pics of the tank currently. It's not in the best shape right now but things will be changing!
