Hello, I have had this red slime in my tank for maybe a month or more now. It’s a 35 gallon tank. It’s been 48 hours since the dosing and there hasn’t been any changes. I did have clownfish die a few days ago, not sure if it’s related in anyway. Any recommendations?

Can you give us some background....

* How old is the tank?
* Do you test for nitrates? Phosphates?
* how often do you do water changes? What %?

* how often do you feed your tank? Are you a heavy feeder?

* do you have a skimmer? Is it producing a good amt of waste weekly?

* what kind of lighting do you use? How long is your daily light cycle?

Red slime mainly comes from lighting issues and/or too much leftover food (excess nutrients)

Doing a chemical treatment is one thing. Finding the SOURCE of the problem is the info you need

.

Remove what you can manually as the intake seems to be semi-plugged up
